A few months ago I finally moved on with my life and got away from my abusive ex-boyfriend. That should be a good thing, right? But now I’m living with Hunky Hank, my ex’s former friend turned my Knight in Shining Armor. He’s great at everything and treats me like a queen. Unfortunately that makes me feel needy when I’m trying to be more independent. When I need to be more independent. So when I started getting vibes of another woman, I knew it was time to move out and move on. So much easier said than done. It’s not so easy to leave behind the temptation of the most perfect guy I've ever known. He’s the only one who looks at me and instead of seeing a shattered image, he sees someone who is too hard to break.

The Most Common Resolution?
I’m not sure if a survey has ever been done on New Year’s resolutions, but if it was I’d bet the
most common one would be to lose weight. Every January gym memberships go up as people try
to start the year off with healthier habits. Not at all a bad thing. But it got me to thinking about
gym memberships and gyms in general. I’ll admit I’ve made that resolution a time or two and it
fizzled out well before summer hit. This year I’m not bothering with a membership at all. I plan
to get healthier by walking and parking further from the door. Little things like that add up.
My husband currently has a gym membership he rarely uses but that’s mostly because of his
hectic work schedule. I don’t’ have one because I know I won’t use it. There just isn’t a gym
close enough to my house to be convenient and I’d feel stupid driving more than a mile to
workout. However, I know people do that sort of thing all the time. I love the photo floating
around the web of the gym with a set of stairs and two escalators to its door. There were people
on the escalators and no one on the stairs. Now that just makes total sense.
That sort of behavior amuses me and is something I tried to touch on in my series Love Beyond
Barriers. In the most recent release, Too Hard to Break, the heroine works at a gym with her
best friend. Elle and Megan have to deal with people all day long who only see them as the girls
behind the counter of a gym. But both women are loving, intelligent, and funny. They each have
their issues, especially when it comes to men, but they don’t let those issues hold them down for
long.
Like my others, the newest release is a sensual romance. It’s published under Ellora’s Cave’s
Blush line because there aren’t as many sex scenes as the usual. However, there is still some sex
and a very romantic thread. If you haven’t read the other two books in the series I encourage you
to do so, but it isn’t necessary to read this one.
