WOW - not even sure how to rate this one... I'm going to say 3.5 stars though - rounding up :)

When Hollywood It Boy, Reid Alexander, arrives on location to shoot his next movie, his goals are the same as always—film another blockbuster hit and enjoy his celebrity status to the fullest while doing so. His costar is a virtual unknown with whom he had blazing hot chemistry during her auditions. The universe is lining up nicely to grant whatever he wants, as usual, until he’s confronted with unexpected obstacles on location like a bitter ex-girlfriend and a rival for the first girl to spark his genuine interest in years.

Emma Pierce just got her big break after more than a decade of filming commercials for grape juice, department stores and tampons, and more recently, bit parts in made-for-TV movies. Nailing the lead role in a wide-release film sent her agent, father and stepmother into raptures, and should have done the same for her. The Problem? Emma is experiencing a building desire to be normal, and starring in a silly, modernized adaptation of one of her favorite novels—opposite the very hot Reid Alexander—isn’t going to advance that aspiration.

Graham Douglas doesn’t fear playing the part of a nerdy dimwit; when it comes to choosing film roles, if it pays, he’ll do it. Besides, his friend Brooke Cameron snatched up the role of the bitchy hot girl and could use his help as a buffer, because her ex is the star. Graham has no problem keeping a handle on the situation, until he finds himself attracted to Reid’s costar, Emma, the girl Reid is pursuing full-throttle with his standard arsenal of charm, good looks and arrogance.

Author recommendation: Mature teens+ (language/drinking/sexual situations)

Jen's Review-

I've never read a book where I didn't like one of the main characters before. Reid Andrews was a spoiled, conceited Child Star - Sure he had problems at home, and he lived the hard life of acting at such a young age. Being so famous that your recognized by everyone, and never EVER having to try to get a girl since he was 15, they just came to him with a bat of his eyes.

It seems he needs to read up on those magazines he so much tried to avoid, because every time he turned around, he was screwing up! It was just Crazy!!!

Anyways - Emma was awesome! She had done some low key acting since she was 6 years old. She wasn't famous, no one really recognized her when she was out hanging at the mall with her Best friend Emily, or out to dinner or a movie, she was able to be a regular girl, except going to public school. Her hours with her acting career never worked right, so she had been tutored.

But when her agent calls and wants her to read for the newest hottest movie coming out - a remake- Americanized version of Pride and Prejudice, A famous book that her mother use to read to her when she was a baby, so she couldn't help but feel a little anxious. Especially when she found out REID ANDREWS was already the STAR! AHHHHHHHHHH lol

So she gets to her first reading, and instant chemistry hits with her and Reid . They seem to spark together really well, The famous director/producer guy seems to think so too, So she gets a callback and they run the whole scene, including the kiss -

Emma is on Cloud NINE when August rolls around, she's away from her home life and entering the real world.

Ok it was a cute story, I was hooked in a whole "soap opera" type way. Graham was awesome - I couldn't help but fall in love with him, and Brook, I wanted to hate her. She was so good at being a bitch, but she was also a sweetheart as well. And her having a past with Reid was just getting in the way of things.

I have to say Reid did have his "awe" moments though, and then he turns around and MESSES EVERYTHING UP AGAIN!!! UGH! I tried to love him, I really did :)

I'm a glutton for punishment - I just bought book 2 of this series ...
