Coffee with the Garahan Brothers (and Giveaway)

HEY! Check it out!
C.H. Admirand and The Garahan Brother's
came over to have a cup of coffee with us!

CH: Good morning, Jen and Chasity, I just put the coffee on and expect the guys to be here any minute. They’ve been out mending fences since dawn and will be hungry, and cranky as bears waking up after a long cold winter.
Here they come now!
Dylan: Hey, CH! Where’s Ronnie? I’m starved.
Tyler: Don’t let him alone with her, or we’ll never get to the break in the fence over in the South pasture!
Dylan silently retaliates by shouldering Tyler out of his way as he reaches for the coffee pot.
CH: easy guys, there’s enough coffee for everyone…and if you’re nice, I’ll let you have some of the Butter Cake I baked just for you.
Tyler glares at Dylan, grabs the pot and asks: Where’s Em?
Jesse: Hey guys, save me a cup and some cake, I was up all night!
Dylan & Tyler: Oh yeah, bro? We heard the commotion.
Jesse frowns at his brothers. Shaking his head he tells me: It’s not what you think, CH, little Lacy had a nightmare and wouldn’t go back to sleep until I checked under the bed, the bedside table, behind the dresser, and in the closet.
CH: What did you find?
Jesse shakes his head: Nothing…but that’s the last time we let her watch that cartoon monster movie before bed!
Dylan chuckling: That’s his story…
Tyler: And he’s sticking to it!
Jesse glares at his brothers: Just wait Dylan, once Ronnie delivers your life will be turned upside down like mine.
Dylan: I thought you were happy being a daddy. You complaining?
Jesse slowly smiles: I feel like I finally found the key to life, living and lovin’… Not complainin’, just explainin’.
CH: You sounds so happy, Jesse.
Jesse: Yes ma’am.
Dylan stares into his coffee mug: All Ronnie has to do is look at me and it drives me crazy.
Tyler stares off into space and smiles: All Em has to do is crook her finger
Jesse grins: Danielle smiles at me and I’m toast.
CH: I’m glad you three have each found the perfect woman.
The Garahan brothers simultaneously answer : We are!
CH: Tyler, I hear you and Em are ready to set the date.
Tyler: Yes ma’am.
CH: When’s the wedding?
Tyler: We’re thinking fall or winter
CH: Wonderful, Oh, Dylan…before I forget, I’ve heard from readers that want to know how the DelVecchio Curse worked out.
Dylan laughs: It’s a curse all right. Ronnie’s pu—uh barfing every morning…then eats whatever isn’t nailed down.
Tyler & Jesse chuckling: Yeah…her appetite’s awesome!
CH: What does the doctor say?
Dylan: She was there this morning; I was hoping she’d be back by now.
CH turns as the back door opens: Here she is…Hi, Ronnie. How do you feel?
Ronnie glares at Dylan and pokes him in the chest with her pointer finger: Damnit, Dylan! It’s true! Every last bit of that damned curse!
Dylan smiles at her:  I already knew you loved me, darlin’
Ronnie struggles not to smile: Not that part!
Dylan grins: Not my fault you can’t keep your hands off me.
Ronnie: Keep laughing Dylan and see how funny it is 7 months from now when we’re juggling twins at the one am feeding!
CH: Oh, congrats—hey, Dylan! Are you all right?
Dylan’s eyes roll back in his head and he passes out cold. THUD!
Jesse & Tyler are holding their sides and laughing hysterically. Jesse asks:  Should we pick him up?
Tyler:  Nah – Ronnie can you hand me that pitcher of lemonade from the fridge?
Ronnie smiles and says: He’ll get all sticky.
Tyler &Jesse look at each other, and Tyler says:  Hey we don’t want to know what the two of you do behind closed doors.
Em & Danielle walk in with little Lacy.
Lacy: what’s the matter with Dylan? Is he hurt?
Ronnie: He’s overcome with joy.
Emily &Danielle: So is it twins?
Tyler &Jesse: You two knew about this?
Emily &Danielle: Of course.
Tyler: Why didn’t you say anything?
Emily:  She asked us not to.
Jesse: But what about Dylan? He deserved to know.
Ronnie:  I was afraid he’d act like this and didn’t want him to go through this if I wasn’t having twins.
CH: But since you are…
Ronnie smiles: Since I am, his reaction is fitting. I can’t wait to tell Noni!
CH: You ladies seem to like living at the Circle G.
Emily: It has always felt like home.
Danielle is stroking Lacy’s flyaway hair when she says: And everyone welcomed us like family.
Jesse pulls Danielle &Lacy into his arms: That’s because you are…and I sensed it from the moment I saw you on the side of the road…glaring up at me.
CH: So Em…when’s the wedding?
Tyler: We don’t know yet, CH, you’d better finish the book so we can all find out.
Lacy: Is Unca Jimmy really in the next book, too?
CH:  I think he’s lonely, Lacy, what do you think?
Lacy nods her head and says: He needs a nice lady to give him kisses like Unca Tyler and Unca Dylan.
CH: Tyler, you aren’t seriously going to pour that lemonade on your brother, are you?
Tyler grins: You’re the writer – am I?
CH laughs: Not this time…maybe in the next book. Jesse & Tyler, help your brother up and put him in that chair. Ronnie, you look done in, you’d better sit down too.
Dylan: Hey what happened?
Ronnie sits down in his lap: Well…it all started when you tossed your lasso around me.
Emily grins and puts her arms around Tyler’s waist: And when you looked up at me when I was stirring that bowl of brownie batter like I was a tall, cold drink and you’d gone three days without water.
Danielle lays her head on Jesse’s chest and says: When you danced with Lacy and me in the meadow out by the pond.
CH: Thanks for stopping by guys; I know you all have more work to get to today. See you at the wedding!
Tyler asks: CH, when’s the wedding?
Dylan: Who’s the next book about?
Jesse: Are we in this one too?
CH: Hmmm…not sure yet, but I’ve got this idea…

WOW! Thanks guys for come out to visit! It was so wonderful having you here! And thanks for the tease about the new book! I'm really anxious to know who's going to be involved in the next one :)

Bio

Southern born… Northern bred

I was born in Aiken, South Carolina, but alas, my parents moved back to northern New Jersey where I grew up, which if you’ve met me would explain a lot. I’ve always had my nose in a book, have traveled the world over, and even tested the time-space continuum, thanks to the awesome power of the written word.
My love for the written word is a gift from my parents, but the need to write was instilled by my 7th Grade English teacher. One of my writing quirks is that I love to include bits and pieces of my ancestors and ancestry in all of my books. Check out my fun facts and genealogy page to see which characters are named after family or friends.
Fate, destiny and love at first sight will always play a large part in my stories because they played a major role in my life. When I saw my husband for the first time, I knew he was the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I’ve loved him forever…well…more than half my life. Each and every hero I write about has a few of Dave’s best qualities, his honesty, his integrity, his compassion for those in need and his killer broad shoulders. I’m such a sucker for a man with broad shoulders.
I love to hear from readers! You can write to me at chadmirand@chadmirand.com or visit me on Facebook or Twitter.
Happy Reading!
Sláinte,
C.H. Admirand

Thanks, Marybelle! I love creating characters that draw you in and make you want to hang out with them. It's hard to leave the Garahan Brothers and Pleasure, Texas behind while I'm working on my Small Town USA series. :(
