Breathe (Sea Breeze, #1)Breathe by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ahh! Show me the sweet love from a Rock Star, and I"ll call it a good book - add the lyrics to his songs and It's in my favorites folder :)

Sadie White's summer job isn't going to be on the beach life-guarding or working at rental booths like most kids her age. With her single mother's increasing pregnancy and refusal to work, Sadie has to take over her mother's job as a domestic servant for one of the wealthy summer families on a nearby island.

When the family arrives at their summer getaway, Sadie is surprised to learn that the owner of the house is Jax Stone, one of the hottest teen rockers in the world. If Sadie hadn't spent her life raising her mother and taking care of the house she might have been normal enough to be excited about working for a rock star.

Even though Sadie isn't impressed by Jax's fame, he is drawn to her. Everything about Sadie fascinates Jax but he fights his attraction. Relationship's never work in his world and as badly as he wants Sadie, he believes she deserves more. By the end of the summer, Jax discovers he can't breathe without Sadi.

Jen's Review:

Loved this!! Sadie White had a hard time living with her mother. She wasn't the greatest mom, but she was her mom, and she loved her despite. She was lucky enough to know that her life wasn't normal.

When Jessica, Sadie's mom became pregnant, Sadie's' life turned upside down. The first day of summer vacation and Jessica started playing the pregnancy card. She wasn't feeling well, she was too hot, and couldn't go to her new job.

So Sadie went in her place. She went to her job to be a domestic worker for the rick and famous. She didn't know who's house it was, until she started the job and saw the pictures of the little boy down the hallway. As the boy grew older, she started to recognize him as the newest teenage heart throb Rock Star Jax Stone!

Sadie knew of his music, but she never had time to listen to it much. She thought he'd be one of those "stuck on himself" type of guys,

But once her eyes fell on him, that all change.

Jax was a heart throb rock star, but he longed what every famous person longed for. Someone to love him for who he is.
When he first saw Sadie, he didn't care if she was a fan or not, he was defiantly interested.

And the more he got to know her, he found out just how real she really was.

But can Sadie live her sheltered life, taking care of her pregnant mother, paying the bills and still finish high school, while being in the spotlight standing next to the worlds biggest Rock Star??

So cute - I loved it.. the only thing that bothered me was she's 17 and still in high school - both Jax and Marcus And even Payten were all 19-21 years old, fighting over this 17 year old girl! Sure she was sweet and all, but there are laws about hooking up with a minor :)

But they kept it good and clean, and sweet, so it worked out :)

This one sounds wicked cute. Poor Sadie though seems to have to have to be the grown up. Cool review Jen!
