The most recent book that I read and liked is "The Last Train From Hiroshima." The author, Pellegrino, states up front that he isn’t going to address if the two bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki should have been dropped or not. His book takes the reader into the lives of the people that dropped the bombs, the people that were victims to the bombs, and the people that survived the bombs. This book isn’t for a reader that would have trouble reading about the human suffering and tragedies of World War II, but if your interested in an historical account of what really did happen over the skies of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 and few days later over the skies of Nagasaki then this book would be a historical account that is worth reading. One final note about the controversy of the authenticity of this account, the publisher ended its relationship with the author, Charles Pellegrino, and stopped printing and shipping copies of the book because Pellegrino was unable to adequately answer questions about his sources and about a PhD he said he earned years ago; however, this book is available from the first publishing inventory. I really enjoyed reading this book!
